HUVY
Ahuva (Huvy) Elisha (Israeli, b. 1927) is internationally recognized for her mastery of color and composition, dedicating her entire artistic career to creating lyrical, joyous visions of everyday life and nature in her beloved Jerusalem. With a style resonant to Post-Impressionism, Huvy is mainly drawn to oil on canvas, though continues to explore charcoal and ink as a fruitful medium to further refine her distinctive vision.
As the youngest BFA recipient in the history of St Martin’s School of Art, her work is held in important public and private collections in the USA, Europe, Scandinavia and Israel. Huvy is represented in New York by Bleier & Co.The artist lives and works in Jerusalem.
