ARTIST STATEMENT
Inside I have a river of colors, a river of power and feelings which want to burst forth.
The soul of the artist is looking for challenges.
My creativeness lives in the past, in the place where I was born, in Meah Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
I absorb the present in bold colors, life with all its strength and beauty.
And dreaming of the future - of Redemption, Yearning, Desires…
Color flows in my fingers, and as if unintentionally, fills the canvas with colorful images, the landscapes of Jerusalem, in abstract patches of color.
Usually there is no initial planning, the picture is created spontaneously; the color is flowing, my hand is flying.
The creations erupt and surprise me as well. It is as if G-d’s hand touched my brush, flung at me a vision of colors, scribbled whatever is in my soul, and after that I am relieved.
The creation ceases to be mine. It is in the eyes of the beholder, whatever the spectator makes of it.
Thank G-d i have succeeded. My works are alive and breathe in important galleries in Israel and abroad, they enjoy the admiration of the public and are displayed, among others, at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem.
