ARTIST STATEMENT

"Painting for me livens up body and soul, and is an integral part of my everyday life.
The two main parts of my life are art and Jewish family life. I try to create a subtle combination that nourish and enrich both.

The joy of creation gives tranquility, relief, and joy for my role as mother and the value of Jewish life.
Being a Jerusalemite family for generations, makes Jerusalem a central theme in my paintings, depicting the experiences of my youth and my life. In districts
ranging in various places in the city of Jerusalem Western Wall, Old City, Mea Shearim….
The ancient alleys and paint-filled story, nostalgic characters from all walks of life, and the rich Jewish milieu left an deep impression on me.
In my work I give visual expression to all the feelings and sights that I soaked in over the years. With rich colors, try to bring these scenes back to life .
Even today, wherever I am, I visualize pictures before my eyes, dreaming how I’m going to paint it to canvas.
I work with many different media to let out my creative ideas, painting on canvas, structured three-dimensional works on canvas, on parchment and Jerusalem stone.
I mainly enjoy working with oils using a knife Plate on various style canvases.
One of my favorite things is to make an inventory of interesting backgrounds of different colors and when an idea strikes I chose a background, intertwining the two as if they were born together .
My recent works are characterized by colorful splats on a white background with a thick texture of gold leaves. Bringing modern design to a new level.
I thank the Creator for this wonderful gift and a hope to continue to create many more works with good health and happiness.
